Job summary

Argoed Lwyd Outdoor Education Centre, part of Hampshire County Council, seeks an experienced outdoor education professional to deliver high-quality learning experiences and inspire participants of all ages and abilities.

The role involves instructing, training, and teaching customers, while contributing to Duty Manager duties and day-to-day centre operations with a strong emphasis on safety and quality delivery.

Qualifications

• An instructional award in at least two outdoor activities (e.g., mountain walking, climbing, caving, paddle sports).
• A higher-level instructional award in one or more outdoor activities.
• GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent qualifications.
• Duke of Edinburgh's Award Gold Assessor/Trainer status if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Instruct, train and teach outdoor centre customers and assist in a timetabled Duty Manager role.
• Support day-to-day operations while observing health and safety principles and checks.
• Oversee operational checks and assist facilities management and senior instructors with safety equipment.
