Job summary

Argoed Lwyd Outdoor Education Centre, part of Hampshire County Council, is seeking an experienced Outdoor Education professional to deliver high-quality outdoor learning experiences near Brecon. The role includes teaching, supervising duties and supporting centre management while ensuring health and safety standards.

Requirements include two or more activity awards, DofE Gold status, GCSE English and Maths, and strong teamwork with diverse groups.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent qualifications.
• Duke of Edinburgh's Award Gold Assessor/Trainer status.
• An instructional award in at least two activities (mountain walking, climbing, caving or paddle sports).

Responsibilities

• Instruct, train and teach outdoor centre customers and support day-to-day operations as Duty Manager.
• Oversee operational checks and assist facilities management and senior instructors with safety checks.
