Job summary

Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the Memory Assessment Service in Birmingham. You will contribute to cognitive and memory assessments within a multidisciplinary team, supporting diagnosis and care planning.

The role requires HCPC registration and an OT degree, with experience in Older Adults and memory difficulties. This post involves in-home and clinic assessments, MDT discussions, and collaborative care planning.

Qualifications

• Degree in OT and HCPC registered.
• Postgraduate training would be advantageous.
• Experience with Older Adults and memory difficulties in a similar setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialist occupational therapy assessments focusing on functional ability in the context of cognitive, physical and mental health factors.
• Analyse performance skills to inform memory assessments and diagnostic considerations.
• Undertake dual role: specialist OT assessments to support diagnosis and detailed holistic memory assessments.
