Job summary

Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Orthotist to join the Specialist Mobility Rehabilitation Centre in Preston. You will deliver high-quality orthotic assessments, prescriptions, and interventions for adults and children across multiple sites, supported by a multidisciplinary team.

The post holder will work under supervision of Senior Orthotists, maintain compliant clinical records, and contribute to governance, audit and service development within SMRC and LTHTR to

Qualifications

• BSc (Hons) in Prosthetics and Orthotics or equivalent.
• Evidence of postgraduate studies.

Responsibilities

• Undertake detailed MDT-led assessments to enable personalised care plans and prescribe orthoses.
• Provide clinical, scientific and advisory orthotic services to support recovery across diabetes, vascular, neurology and musculoskeletal conditions.
• Maintain accurate, timely records on Trust systems in line with HCPC and BAPO standards.
• Participate in audits, research, governance, case reviews and service improvement.
• Contribute to teaching, training and mandatory Trust trainings.
• Work within professional guidelines and Trust values to ensure patient-centred outcomes.
