Job summary

Berenberg is hiring a Database Administrator Oracle in London to join our Core Infrastructure Services team. You will help build and maintain a modern, reliable Oracle database environment, driving automation and supporting business units with robust data services.

You will work with Oracle RAC, SQL/PLSQL, Ansible, and Linux in a high-availability setting. The role emphasizes collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement in a cutting-edge banking tech stack.

Qualifications

Degree in IT or an equivalent qualification.
Extensive experience with Oracle RAC and relational databases.
Several years of database administration experience.
Knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL; Ansible and scripting (Shell) is a plus.
Experience with Linux is desirable.
Very good written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

Administer, configure and implement databases in a high-availability environment (Oracle).
Plan and deploy new databases.
Automate existing processes.
Migrate, patch and upgrade databases.
Provide advice and support for projects.
Ensure smooth operation of storage and archiving processes.
