Job summary

Randstad Technologies Recruitment is seeking a Senior Oracle Database Administrator to lead a modernization programme. The role is hybrid with 3 days per week on-site in Blackpool or Newcastle, focusing on Oracle 12c/19c, RAC, Data Guard, and cloud/IaC modernization.

You will drive automation, handle major incident escalations, and oversee migrations and backups using RMAN, Data Pump, GoldenGate, and ZDM. On-call rotations may apply.

Qualifications

• Strong production experience with Oracle 12c/19c on Linux and AIX.
• Deep expertise in Oracle RAC (ASM, AFD) and Data Guard setups.
• Public cloud exposure (OCI or AWS) and IaC tooling (Terraform/Ansible).
• Advanced RMAN backup/recovery; Data Pump, GoldenGate, ZDM for migrations.
• Implementation of TDE, TLS encryption and secure cloud network segregation.
• Ability to lead incident triage and provide out-of-hours support.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical oversight of mission-critical Oracle database platforms.
• Drive cloud modernization initiatives for the databases.
• Automate infrastructure using IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible).
• Manage migrations and backups with RMAN, Data Pump, GoldenGate, ZDM.
• Handle major incident escalations and provide on-call support as needed.
