Job summary

DWP Digital is seeking a Senior Application Operations Engineer to join the Central Payment System team. You will support and enhance a highly customised Oracle E-Business Suite used for payments and accounting for UK benefits, developing new features and maintaining complex integrations.

You will work with architects and engineers to improve performance and resilience, ensuring live services run smoothly for millions of users in a hybrid working setup.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience as an Oracle Developer with in‑depth knowledge of E‑Business Suite Financial modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Payments, Sub‑Ledger Accounting, and Cash Management.
• Extensive experience collaborating with stakeholders and multi-disciplinary teams to review requirements and designs, and to design, code, test, document programmes or scripts of medium to high complexity.
• Able to coordinate build activities and support testing activities, including functional, integration and performance.
• Excellent problem solving skills; able to identify root cause analysis of high priority incidents and propose resolution.
• Extensive experience delivering robust Oracle E‑Business Suite solutions, including SQL/PLSQL development, OAF personalization and extensions, Oracle Reports/XML Publisher, APIs, interfaces, web‑service integrations, workflow configuration and performance tuning.
