Job summary

DWP Digital is seeking a Senior Oracle Application Engineer to support and enhance the Central Payments System, a highly customised Oracle E‑Business Suite that manages payments and accounting for UK benefit services.

You will develop new features, maintain complex customisations and integrations, and work with architects to boost performance and resilience while supporting live services and delivering high‑quality solutions.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience as an Oracle Developer with in-depth knowledge of E-Business Suite Financial modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Payments, Sub-Ledger Accounting, and Cash Management.
• Extensive experience collaborating with stakeholders and multi-disciplinary teams to design, code, test, and document programmes or scripts of medium to high complexity.
• Able to coordinate build activities and support testing activities (functional, integration and performance).
• Excellent problem solving skills with ability to identify root causes across large data sets and propose resolutions.
• Extensive experience delivering robust Oracle E-Business Suite solutions, including SQL/PLSQL development, OAF personalization, Oracle Reports/XML Publisher, APIs, interfaces, and web-service integrations.
