Job summary

Almac Group is seeking a Senior Operator Grade 2 for the Laxido Operations night shift in Craigavon. This permanent Continental Nightshift runs 19:00-07:00, with a basic salary of £31,775 plus 36% shift premium, and a strong focus on cGMP compliance and production quality.

You will set up production equipment, perform setup checks, operate machinery, document production activities, reconcile materials, and supervise a small team under the Production Supervisor, contributing to on-schedule

Qualifications

• GCSEs at Grade C or above in English and Maths (or equivalent)
• Experience in production environment with machinery and quality control
• Experience leading teams/supervisory experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Control the process operation within the designated production room ensuring product quality per cGMP
• Check materials, set up production equipment, complete setup checks, operate equipment
• Complete production documentation to a high standard and reconcile materials on completion
• Oversee operators within the designated operations and support the Production Supervisor to ensure on-schedule completion

The Role

Almac Pharma Services manufacture medicines in tablet, capsule and powder form, and pack commercial drug products into bottles, blisters and sachets and provide specialised packaging solutions for medical kits, vials and syringes. The expert services we provide supports the provision of medicines and treatments to patients around the world.

An opportunity has become available to join our Laxido Operations night shift team on a permanent basis in the role of Senior Operator Grade 2. In this role you will be responsible for controlling the process operation within your designated production room, ensuring the quality of the product complies with cGMP. On a daily basis you will check material, set up production equipment, complete set-up checks, and operate production equipment in accordance with work instructions and SOPs. You'll be required to complete production documentation to a high standard, and to verify the reconciliation of materials on completion of an operation. You'll effectively oversee staff (operators) within your designated operations, and support the Production Supervisor to ensure the efficient and on-schedule completion of each operation.

Key Requirements

• All applicants must demonstrate eligibility to work in the UK
• GCSEs at Grade C or above in English and Maths (or equivalent level qualifications) OR previous relevant experience in pharmaceutical industry may be accepted in lieu of qualifications
• Previous experience working in a production environment involving production teams, machinery, and quality control of product
• Experience working within teams
• Experience leading teams/supervisory experience would be a strong advantage
