Job summary

JDT Group is seeking an Operations and QMS Manager to lead operational planning and drive quality management systems across ICP projects in Surrey, England. You will oversee ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and NERS compliance, manage audits, and mentor the planning team while coordinating resources and ensuring on-time, safe project delivery.

The role demands extensive utility infrastructure experience, driver licence validity, and strong planning software skills, with a focus on continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Significant ICP, DNO or utility infrastructure experience in ops planning.
• Strong understanding of NERS and ICP ops requirements.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001.
• NEBOSH General Certificate
• Internal Auditor Qualification
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Competent user of planning tools/software

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the operational delivery programme across all ICP projects, leading weekly planning meetings.
• Coordinate labour, plant, materials and subcontractor requirements, balancing workloads.
• Oversee street works permitting and ensure timely permissions.
• Mentor and support the Programme Manager and planning function.
• Maintain the Integrated Management System for ISO 9001/14001/45001 and NERS.
• Lead internal and client audits and monitor NCRs, CAPAs.
• Promote health, safety and environmental culture and CDM compliance.
• Review RAMS and support incident investigations.
• Maintain NERS accreditation readiness and client/DNO specs.
• Support delivery teams with safety briefings and competencies.
• Align operational plans with budgets and KPIs with Commercial Manager.
• Analyze performance trends and drive continuous improvement.
• Attend planning meetings to represent safety and compliance.
