Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior Operations Process Engineer to be based in our client's office in Aberdeen on a hybrid basis, working 3 days in the office. This is a 6-month contract on a PSC basis, working outside IR35.

The role involves developing operating procedures for project-related scopes and managing interfaces across offshore operations, onshore operations, and project teams. Initial work will focus on Teal West, with links to deck seal, WHRU, etc. A good understanding of process systems and operations is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide process engineering expertise
• Contribute to development of process studies
• Define process requirements for technical scopes related to platform modifications
• Check and approve process engineering design deliverables such as P&IDs, calculations, datasheets, and line lists
• Support HAZOPs, HAZIDs, and other technical reviews
• Check and approve process deliverables
• Assist the contract delivery team
• Provide technical expertise to the contract
• Resolve process-related engineering issues following accepted standards and codes
• Ensure technical integrity of process designs through adherence to procedures
• Participate in design reviews and interdisciplinary checks
• Maintain knowledge to meet competence requirements of a Senior Process Engineer
• Share lessons learned for continuous improvement
• Utilize software tools (e.g., Hisys) in design development and checking
