Job Description

Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior Operations Process Engineer to be based in our client's office in Aberdeen on a hybrid basis, working 3 days in the office. This position is for a 6-month duration on a PSC basis, working outside IR35.

The role involves developing operating procedures for project-related scopes and managing interfaces across offshore operations, onshore operations, and project teams. Initial focus will be on Teal West, followed by connections to deck seal, WHRU, etc. A good understanding of process systems and operations is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide process engineering expertise.
• Contribute to development of process studies.
• Define process requirements for technical scopes related to platform modifications.
• Authorize process engineering design deliverables such as P&IDs, calculations, datasheets, and line lists to support modifications, offshore work-packs, and supply chain activities.
• Support HAZOPs, HAZID's, and other technical reviews.
• Check and approve process deliverables.
• Support the contract delivery team with technical expertise.
• Resolve process-related engineering issues following accepted principles, codes, and standards.
• Ensure technical integrity of process designs through adherence to procedures.
• Participate in design reviews and interdisciplinary checking.
• Maintain current knowledge to meet the competence requirements of a Senior Process Engineer.
• Provide feedback for lessons learned and continuous improvement.
• Utilize software tools like Hisys in design development and checking.

Qualifications

MSc, MEng or equivalent professional qualification, or BSc, BEng with considerable experience, or HNC/HND with relevant experience.
