Job summary

Pact Coffee in Haslemere, Surrey, is seeking a Senior Operations Manager with a strong manufacturing background to lead Health & Safety and drive site-wide standards across Production, Roasting, Facilities and Warehousing.

The role is hands-on and reports to the Operations Director, requiring practical problem solving, continuous improvement and the ability to challenge and support managers while maintaining safe, compliant and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• IOSH or NEBOSH qualification with practical H&S experience
• Experience managing HACCP
• Good understanding of BRCGS, audit readiness and compliance
• Strong risk assessment, safe systems of work and incident investigation
• Experience developing SOPs and driving continuous improvement
• Knowledge of manufacturing equipment, maintenance and reliability
• Capability to challenge, train and influence teams
• Hands-on approach with strong communication and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Own Health & Safety across the Haslemere site with robust procedures
• Support and challenge functional area managers to improve site operations
• Identify risks, bottlenecks and opportunities to improve safety and efficiency
• Lead root-cause investigations and implement lasting solutions
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the site
• Maintain and evolve the site's SOP framework
• Oversee HACCP, GMP and BRCGS standards and audit readiness
• Collaborate across Production, Roasting, Facilities, Warehousing and Procurement
