Job summary

Kier Group in Northampton is seeking a Senior Operations Manager to lead the Anglian Water reactive delivery team. You will translate contract and client requirements into effective operational delivery, coach and align an operational management group, and ensure resources are deployed to meet safety, quality and performance standards.

Job description

We're looking for a Senior Operations Manager to join our Anglian Water team based in Northampton.

Location: Northampton
Hours: Full time - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

As Senior Operations Manager, you will provide senior operational leadership across Kier's reactive delivery activities on the Anglian Water contract. You'll be responsible for translating contract and client requirements into effective operational delivery, leading operational management teams to ensure resources are effectively deployed and performance is maintained. Operating within a fast-paced reactive environment, you'll provide visible leadership and respond effectively to changing operational priorities whilst developing a strong, consistent performance culture across the operation.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Operations Manager, you'll be working within the Anglian Water team, supporting them in delivering safe, responsive and high-performing service. Your day to day will include:

• Providing senior leadership across reactive operational delivery, ensuring clear accountability and effective management throughout the operational structure
• Leading health, safety and environmental expectations across operational delivery, ensuring compliance and driving continuous improvement
• Driving operational performance against agreed KPIs and the contract's performance framework whilst working closely with commercial colleagues
• Developing strong and credible working relationships with Anglian Water operational stakeholders and providing senior representation at delivery forums
• Leading, engaging and developing the operational management team, establishing clear performance expectations and building leadership capability through coaching and performance conversations

This role of Senior Operations Manager is great for you if:

• You have significant operational leadership experience within a fast-paced, reactive service environment
• You have strong experience leading operational management teams and geographically dispersed delivery
• You can demonstrate evidence of delivering against demanding safety, customer, operational and commercial performance requirements
• You have strong stakeholder management skills, including experience operating with senior client stakeholders
• You hold a Full driving licence
