Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Derby (Infinity Park) is expanding its Life Sciences & Healthcare operation and seeks a senior operations leader to guide performance, safety and continuous improvement across a 194,000 sq ft facility.

You will own site performance, lead change, build a high‑performing team and manage key customer relationships, leveraging automation and data to drive service, quality and cost outcomes in a regulated logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in supply chain, warehousing or logistics.
• Experience in automated/tech-enabled warehouse environments preferred.
• Strong focus on safety, compliance and colleague wellbeing.
• Commercial awareness with ability to balance customer expectations and operations.

Our new site at Infinity Park Derby is set to become our flagship Life Sciences & Healthcare operation in the UK and Ireland, bringing together cutting-edge warehouse technology, operational excellence and highly regulated supply chain expertise under one roof. This 194,000 sq. ft. facility has been purpose-built to support healthcare products, creating a highly efficient, scalable and resilient operation designed to meet the growing demands of the sector. Located at the heart of the UK's logistics network, Infinity Park Derby offers a unique opportunity to join a brand-new operation and help establish the standards, culture and performance that will define its success. As part of DHL's significant investment in UK automation and infrastructure, you'll play a key leadership role within a fast-paced, highly regulated warehousing environment where safety, continuous improvement, customer excellence and people development sit at the centre of everything we do.

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• Providing inspirational operational leadership across the site, creating a culture of accountability, engagement and continuous improvement that enables colleagues and leaders at all levels to perform at their best every day.
• Taking overall responsibility for operational performance, making strategic decisions that balance customer expectations, service delivery, productivity, quality and cost across a fast-paced distribution environment.
• Acting as the senior operational point of contact for customers, leading regular performance reviews, building trusted relationships and ensuring operational solutions are aligned to changing business needs.
• Championing a safety-first culture across the operation, ensuring colleagues return home safely while maintaining the highest standards of compliance, wellbeing and operational discipline.
• Coaching, mentoring and developing your leadership team, building capability, succession plans and a high-performing management structure that supports both current and future growth.
• Using operational data, financial insight and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement, driving initiatives that enhance service, efficiency and overall customer experience.
• Working closely with customers and internal stakeholders to support the successful mobilisation, growth and long-term development of a flagship, technology-enabled logistics operation.

• Have proven leadership experience within a supply chain, warehousing or logistics environment, with the ability to inspire, engage and develop high-performing teams.

• Have experience working within automated or technology-enabled warehouse environments, or are excited by the opportunity to lead within a highly advanced operation.
