Job summary

Netbox Recruitment is seeking an experienced Operations Manager for our Sidcup site in Kent. You will lead day-to-day operations across production, warehouse, logistics, planning, quality and HSE, driving performance and continuous improvement to meet customer and KPI targets.

In this hands-on role you will coach managers and teams, manage budgets, and ensure safe, cost-effective operations with a focus on lean methodologies and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Senior Operations, Warehouse, Logistics or Manufacturing Management experience in FMCG.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary operational teams.
• Experience managing budgets and delivering cost, productivity improvements.
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems and CAPA processes.
• Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe, efficient and profitable site operations and KPIs.
• Develop managers, supervisors and team leaders across functions.
• Oversee production, warehouse, logistics and planning to hit targets.
• Drive continuous improvement with Lean, 5S, Kaizen and KPI data.
• Own production, warehouse and labour planning; balance demand and capacity.
• Ensure safe handling, storage and movement of goods with accurate stock.
• Maintain Quality Management Systems, monitor KPIs and action improvements.
• Oversee HSE compliance and risk management.
• Manage the operational budget and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with Commercial, Procurement and Customer Service.
