Sompo has a unique opportunity for a Senior Operational Risk Analyst to join our Global Risk Function.

This newly created role will report to the Group Head of Operational Risk. The Group Operational Risk team provides oversight of key operational risks across the group, including deploying a robust and consistent framework. This role offers the chance to strengthen the company's operational resilience through regular interaction with senior management and local risk teams worldwide.

The Global Risk Function includes core risk competencies such as ERM reporting, risk governance, exposure management, risk modelling, and R&D. Each team is led by experienced professionals dedicated to establishing best practices and supporting the group globally.

What you'll be doing:

1. Support the development of the group operational risk framework, including risk appetite, monitoring metrics, and scenario analysis.
2. Assist in the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process for corporate functions such as HR and BCP.
3. Review internal loss incidents, conduct root-cause analysis, identify trends, and share lessons learned across regions. Also, review external event intelligence.
4. Help produce and enhance operational risk profiles and dashboards, including executive and board reports.
5. Contribute to developing operational risk training and educational materials across the Group.
6. Assist in configuring and maintaining the Company's GRC system, including user guidelines and support.
7. Support 2nd line governance and control reviews, including thematic reviews by the Group Operational Risk Committee (ORC).
8. Participate as needed in wider group ERM activities.

What you'll bring:
