The Virtualization team builds OpenStack-based platforms; we seek a Senior Engineer to guide architecture, standards, and automation, helping ensure scalable, cost-efficient OpenStack clouds and reliable on-call

Qualifications

• Expert-level proficiency administering OpenStack.
• Strong knowledge of networking, storage, Linux, and virtualization.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools: Terraform and Ansible.
• Scripting experience in Python, Golang, or Bash.
• Experience deploying and managing on-premises infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve DRW’s Virtualization platform infrastructure and standards.
• Automate repetitive tasks to increase reliability.
• Design, implement, and manage OpenStack clouds including deployment and maintenance.
• Diagnose cross-team issues involving compute, storage, and networking.
• Provide excellent service to platform users and coach engineers.
• Lead on-call rotations and resolve production incidents in a trading environment.
