Job summary

European Tech Recruit is seeking a Senior Research Engineer to lead ML/AI research projects in a 100% onsite role based in London or Cambridge. You will optimise algorithms, scale research prototypes, and collaborate with researchers to align engineering work with research goals.

You will mentor junior engineers, contribute to publications, and help maintain research infrastructure and workflows while staying current with state-of-the-art AI practices.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience implementing and optimising machine learning algorithms and systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Python, C++ or similar languages.
• Proven ability to lead engineering projects, both independently and collaboratively.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers or technical staff.
• Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication, including technical documentation.
