Job summary

The role spans applied AI, fundamental research and semiconductor innovation, with a focus on LLMs, deep learning optimisation and generative AI, and mentoring the team.

You will drive research into AI-powered semiconductor design and work closely with researchers to deliver robust engineering systems and well-documented results.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience implementing and optimising machine learning algorithms and systems.
• Strong programming skills in Python, C++ or similar.
• Experience leading technically complex engineering projects.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with researchers and engineers.
• Proven experience mentoring junior engineers or technical staff.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication and technical documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering efforts on complex AI and machine learning research projects.
• Design, implement and optimise ML algorithms and research systems.
• Improve scalability, performance and robustness of research prototypes and infrastructure.
