EDF power solutions in Peterborough is seeking an experienced Wind Turbine Technician to help maintain onshore wind assets and support the UK's net zero goals.

Based at Fenlands Service Centre with 37 hours per week, you will diagnose faults, perform planned and reactive maintenance, and help with component exchanges. The role offers a salary of £37,700–£50,000, with a potential annual bonus and a strong pension.

Formación

• Some previous experience as a Wind Turbine Technician.
• Experience working on three-phase electrical systems or heavy plant electrical equipment.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Live within approximately 45 minutes of the Fenlands Service Centre, PE7 2EU.
• Ability to work at height and travel to other UK sites if required.

Responsabilidades

• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance activities on onshore wind turbines.
• Diagnosing faults and completing troubleshooting, repair and maintenance work across electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Reporting and planning daily maintenance activities.
• Managing local spare parts and consumable stock.
• Completing proactive repairs and component replacements to minimise downtime.
• Supporting major component exchanges including gearbox and generator replacements.
• Supervising specialist contractors and subcontractors when required.
• Delivering safety inductions for contractors and visitors.
• Participating in the out-of-hours on-call rota and responding to turbine breakdowns.
• Helping maintain the highest possible levels of turbine availability.
