Job summary

EDF power solutions is seeking an experienced Wind Turbine Technician for Fallago Rig Wind Farm in the Scottish Borders. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing onshore wind turbines to maximise availability and performance, with a mix of planned maintenance, fault-finding, and major component work.

The position is site‑based with a salary of £46,000–£50,000 per year, and requires living within 45 minutes of the TD3 6NW service centre.

Qualifications

• Authorised Wind Turbine Technician status required.
• WTSR Authorising Technician/Engineer accreditation preferred.
• Electrical/Mechanical qualification (HNC/HND/NVQ) with hands-on experience.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety in wind industry essential.
• Experience carrying out O&M on wind turbines would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on wind turbines per manufacturer guidelines.
• Report on maintenance activities and support work planning.
• Manage spare parts and consumables stock.
• Fault finding, diagnostics, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
