EDF power solutions UK and Ireland is seeking a Wind Turbine Technician at Fallago Rig Wind Farm in the Scottish Borders. You will maintain and repair onshore wind turbines, ensuring safe, efficient operation and high availability across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and control systems.

Working in a close-knit team, you’ll handle planned maintenance, fault-finding, diagnostics, and component replacement, with eligibility for a market-leading pension and a potential annual bonus.

Competenze

• Authorised Wind Turbine Technician status or proven equivalent.
• Accreditation as AT or AE under Wind Turbine Safety Rules (WTSR).
• Electrical or Mechanical qualification (HNC/HND/NVQ) with hands-on experience.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation in wind industry.
• Experience performing O&M on wind turbines.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to be based within 45 minutes of Fallago Rig service centre TD3 6NW.

The Opportunity

As a Wind Turbine Technician, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing our onshore wind turbines, ensuring they operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. This is a varied role combining planned maintenance, fault-finding, diagnostics, and major component work across our wind generation assets.

Alongside a salary range of between £46,000 to £50,000 per annum, you'll be based at our #FallagoRig Wind Farm in the Scottish Borders. To support operational requirements, you must live within 45 minutes of the service centre at TD3 6NW. This is a fully site-based role.

Working within an established team, you'll have the opportunity to broaden your technical expertise across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and control systems. You'll also work under Wind Turbine Safety Rules and contribute directly to the availability and performance of renewable energy assets that power communities across the UK.

Who You Are

We’re looking for a Wind Turbine Technician who combines strong technical expertise with a commitment to safe working practices and high operational standards. You'll enjoy working as part of a close-knit team while taking ownership of maintenance activities in a safety-critical environment.

To be shortlisted, you need to offer...

• Previous experience as an Authorised Wind Turbine Technician
• Accreditation or previous accreditation as an Authorising Technician (AT) or Authorising Engineer (AE) under Wind Turbine Safety Rules (WTSR)
• A recognised Electrical or Mechanical qualification such as HNC, HND or NVQ, supported by hands-on operational experience
• Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation, practices, rules and regulations within the wind industry
• Experience carrying out operations and maintenance activities on wind turbines
• A full UK driving licence
• The ability to be based within 45 minutes of the Fallago Rig service centre at TD3 6NW

What You'll Be Doing
