Job summary

Immunocore is seeking an experienced clinician-scientist to lead clinical development strategy and oversight for oncology programs across development stages. The role requires directing trial design, safety monitoring, data interpretation, and regulatory interactions while collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners.

Qualifications

• MD or MD/PhD with research training and a clinical perspective, plus a track record in oncology therapy development.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacokinetics, biomarkers, statistics, and regulatory requirements.
• Broad oncology knowledge; immuno-oncology experience is highly desirable.
• Minimum 3 years in clinical drug development including early phase trials.
• 2+ years as a medical monitor in biotech/pharma/CRO.

Responsibilities

• Lead and shape clinical development strategy and plans with cross-functional teams.
• Ensure comprehensive development plans with key decision points and risk mitigation.
• Design high-quality trial protocols and supporting documents for oncology programs.
• Maintain relationships with key opinion leaders and external partners.
• Provide medical oversight of studies, data review, interpretation and reporting.
