Job summary
Gavin & Doherty Geosolutions (GDG) is seeking an experienced Senior/Principal Geotechnical Engineer to focus on offshore geotechnical and foundation projects, mainly office-based. The role covers analysis, interpretation, and design for offshore wind foundations, including monopiles, jackets, and GBS, with GRLWEAP/Allwave driveability and FE analysis in Plaxis 3D.
You will report to the Head of Geotechnics and contribute to lab testing specifications.
Qualifications
- Master's degree or PhD in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering or equivalent.
- Chartered Engineer status (beneficial).
Responsibilities
- Execute independent offshore geotechnical analysis, design, and reporting within projects.
- Design foundations, including pile-soil interaction and drivability analysis.
- Conduct technical reviews of analysis and design work by the project team.
- Perform site characterisation and geotechnical interpretation.
- Support Ground Modelling team in integrating geophysical and geotechnical data.
- Assist Survey Management Team with lab testing specifications and queries.
- Manage geotechnical risks and contribute to offshore geotechnical research.
