Job summary

Gavin & Doherty Geosolutions (GDG) seeks a Senior/Principal Geotechnical Engineer to lead offshore geotechnical design and analysis. You will deliver geotechnical interpretations, pile-driveability studies and foundation design for offshore wind projects.

You will mentor teams, manage geotechnical risk, and ensure adherence to design codes while using Plaxis 3D, GRLWEAP and Allwave. Fluent English is essential, and Chartered status is advantageous.

Qualifications

Masters or PhD in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering or equivalent.
Chartered Engineer status is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Execute offshore geotechnical analysis, design, and reporting within projects.
Design foundations including pile-soil interaction and drivability analysis.
Conduct technical reviews of analysis and design work.
Site characterisation and geotechnical interpretation.
Support Ground Modelling and Survey teams with testing specs.
Manage geotechnical risks and contribute to research activities.
Strong knowledge of offshore wind design codes and certification requirements.
Proficiency in Python, MATLAB or similar languages.
