Job summary

Walsall Council is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join the Adult Social Care OT workforce as an Advanced Practitioner. You will have direct line management responsibility for OTs within the Younger Adults Team and oversee prioritisation and allocation of work.

The post covers Learning Disabilities, Mental Health and Younger Adults teams, and requires strong complex casework skills, supervision of staff and a collaborative leadership style.

Qualifications

• Significant post-qualification experience with complex needs.
• Experience supervising or supporting staff, students or apprentices.
• Commitment to high-quality, person-centred practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional support to OTs across Learning Disabilities and Mental Health teams.
• Lead and supervise the Younger Adults Team, prioritising and allocating work.
• Collaborate with other Advanced Practitioners to allocate children’s work across teams.
