Job summary

Brainkind invites applications for a Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team in Hitchin. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate person-centred rehabilitation programmes for people with neurological conditions, working as part of a multidisciplinary team.

We offer a competitive salary (£39,959 - £48,117), 37.5 hours per week, 38 days leave with bank holidays, and comprehensive support including CPD, training and a generous pension.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Current HCPC registration is required.
• Evidence of Continued Professional Development (CPD).
• Ability to work autonomously and set priorities, while supporting others.
• Strong team working and leadership skills; experience in supervision is valued.
• Desirable experience in neurology settings or relevant practice areas.

Responsibilities

• Assess, implement and evaluate programmes of person-centred care as part of the multi-disciplinary team.
• Develop treatment and support plans to enhance function and quality of life.
• Lead a small team of therapy assistants and activities coordinators.
• Develop therapeutic group programmes to meet diverse needs.
• Collaborate with other professionals to coordinate care and equipment needs.

• Ability to build effective team working relationships and excellent leadership skills
• Desirable experience of working in a relevant setting, which can include practice placements
