Hertfordshire County Council is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join their Adult Care Services team. This permanent role involves managing your own caseload, conducting holistic assessments, and working collaboratively to promote independence for community members in Hertfordshire.
The ideal candidate will possess an Occupational Therapy Degree, be registered with the HCPC, and have knowledge of relevant social care legislation. A driving licence is essential for this position.
Job Title: Occupational Therapist
Starting Salary: £38,220, with potential to progress to £41,771 per annum (pro rata for part time) + £1,000 welcome payment, lease car & relocation – terms apply.
Hours: 37 hours per week.
Location: Hertfordshire.
Contract Type: Permanent.
Directorate: Adult Care Services.
As an Occupational Therapist in Adult Care Services, you will hold your own caseload and work in partnership with people living in the community across Hertfordshire. You will undertake a holistic assessment of need to identify person‑centred outcomes. We work in an enabling way with people and their families and carers, to promote independence and participation, through meaningful occupation and a strengths‑based approach. Across all our services we aim to ensure that people are provided with the right support and advice, and at the right time. Our Adult Care Services Connected Lives practice principles are very much aligned to core occupational therapy values, with the ultimate aim of connecting people to the life that they want to live. We work collaboratively alongside social care colleagues, as well as with our health partners, housing and care providers, and a range of community support services. The role will also include an opportunity to mentor and develop others.
