Job summary

Brainkind in Hitchin is seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist to join a dedicated neuro-rehabilitation team. You will assess, implement and evaluate person-centred care within a multi-disciplinary setting, leading a small team of therapy assistants.

You will develop treatment plans, lead a therapeutic group programme and collaborate on equipment provision and seating to improve function and quality of life for patients with neurological conditions.

Qualifications

Diploma or degree in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration.
Evidence of Continued Professional Development (CPD).
Ability to work autonomously and set own priorities.
Strong leadership and team-working skills.

Responsibilities

Assess, implement and evaluate person-centred care programmes as part of the MDT.
Develop and lead a therapeutic group programme for neurological conditions.
Provide leadership to a small team of therapy assistants and activities coordinators.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance equipment provision and seating solutions.

Senior Occupational Therapist

Hitchin

Salary: £39,959 - £48,117 per annum DOE

Hours: 37.5hrs per week

You will provide an occupational therapy service by assessing, implementing and evaluating programmes of person-centred care as part of the multi-disciplinary team.

About you:

Diploma / Degree in Occupational Therapy
Current and valid Registration with Health & Care Professions Council
Evidence of Continued Professional Development
An ability to work autonomously and to set own and support others’ priorities
Ability to build effective team working relationships and excellent leadership skills
Desirable experience of working in a relevant setting, which can include practice placements
