Job summary

Senior Healthcare Assistant role in Hitchin at Stagenhoe Neurological Care Centre, part of Brainkind. The post offers £14.21–£16.58 per hour and 37.5 hours weekly, with weekend and bank holiday shifts. Requires Level 3 in Health and Social Care and prior care experience.

Senior Healthcare Assistant

Hitchin

£14.21 per hour with a £1.37 Market Enhancement (£15.58 per hour)

Brainkind has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our dedicated team at Stagenhoe Neurological Care Centre. As a Senior Healthcare Assistant, you will coordinate the provision of high-quality holistic person-centred care and support to our service users. You will also provide direct supervision, coaching and mentoring to junior staff.

Stagenhoe is a Brainkind specialist neurological care centre based in Hertfordshire, caring for people aged 18 and over a range of neurological conditions. At Stagenhoe, we provide the care people need to optimise their health and wellbeing, maximise their independence and support their emotional and social needs. We provide specialist neurological care, rehabilitation and support tailored to the individual needs of people with a range of neurological conditions.

Our assessment centres, rehabilitation units and hospitals use expert neurorehabilitation to support and help improve the lives of people with a neurological condition or brain injury.

About the role:

• S/NVQ/QCF Level 3 or equivalent - essential
• Numerate and literate
• Computer Literacy
• Good communication skills
• Experience of working within a team
• Demonstrable skills in leadership and supervision

• Coaching and mentoring experience and or qualifications
• Competencies that are specific to the speciality
