Job summary

Brainkind in Hitchin is seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist to join a dedicated healthcare team in a historic building. You will assess, implement and evaluate person-centred care within a multi-disciplinary neuro rehabilitation service.

The role offers leadership of therapy staff, development of group programmes and opportunities to work with adults with various neurological conditions, while supporting CPD and supervision.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Current HCPC registration.
• Evidence of continuing professional development.
• Ability to work autonomously and set priorities.
• Ability to build effective team relationships and demonstrate leadership.
• Desirable experience in a relevant setting (placements).

Responsibilities

• Develop treatment and support plans to enhance function and quality of life.
• Lead a small team of therapy assistants and activities coordinators.
• Develop therapeutic group programmes to meet diverse needs.
• Work with people with a wide range of neurological conditions.
• Commit to continuing professional development and regular supervision.
• Engage in peer support within a neuro rehabilitation MDT.

• Ability to build effective team working relationships and excellent leadership skills
• Desirable experience of working in a relevant setting, which can include practice placements
