Southend University Hospital NHS Trust is recruiting a Senior Occupational Health Business Partner to lead and develop Occupational Health services across Mid and South Essex. The role provides operational and clinical leadership for a multidisciplinary team, driving performance, governance and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for Occupational Health services, ensuring delivery of high-quality, effective and responsive clinical and case management services.
• Lead on complex case management, sickness absence management and workforce health initiatives, providing expert occupational health advice to managers and senior leaders.
• Oversee service performance through development, monitoring and reporting of KPIs, ensuring continuous improvement and achievement of objectives.
• Lead clinical governance activities including audits, risk assessments, incident investigations and compliance with standards.
• Drive development and review of Occupational Health policies and wellbeing strategies to support workforce health and organisational priorities.
• Manage and develop the Occupational Health team, promoting development, workforce planning, recruitment and high performance.
• Lead innovation and service improvement initiatives to enhance delivery, efficiency and employee health outcomes.
• Contribute to commercial development through contract management, partnerships and stakeholder engagement at senior level.
