Job summary

Bright Horizons Romsey Day Nursery and Preschool is seeking a Third in Charge with a full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification. You will lead a team to deliver outstanding care and education, and act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, overseeing safeguarding and child protection policy execution.

You will collaborate with the Nursery Manager on staff development, build strong partnerships with parents, and ensure a positive, safe working environment while maintaining

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification is essential.
• Experience leading a team to deliver outstanding care and education.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and ability to act as Designated Safeguarding Lead.
• Experience in food management-related training and practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and inspire a team to deliver exceptional care and education to children.
• Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead and manage safeguarding policies and practice.
• Collaborate with the Nursery Manager on training and staff development plans.
• Develop partnerships with colleagues, parents and professionals to meet children's needs.
• Promote a positive, safe working environment and support occupancy growth.
• Support budget KPIs and commercial aspects of the nursery.
• Engage with Local Authority to understand local offers and practice.
