Job summary

Busy Bees is seeking a Senior Room Leader to oversee multiple rooms across our UK centres, ensuring educational strategies are consistently applied and that the team delivers the highest standards of care and learning. You will inspire and mentor Room Leaders, coordinat e planning and delivery of activities, and safeguard wellbeing across the setting while embedding the Bee Curious curriculum.

With a Level 3 qualification in early years and proven leadership, you will join a supportive nursery

Qualifications

• Experience in an early years setting with supervisory or leadership responsibilities.
• Level 3 qualification or above in early years education.
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to foster an inclusive and supportive environment for children and staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee educational strategies across multiple rooms.
• Lead planning and delivery of activities, adapting the curriculum to meet diverse needs.
• Mentor and develop Room Leaders, promoting a collaborative and high-performing team.
• Oversee wellbeing and safeguarding of children, including support for additional needs.
• Foster strong relationships with parents, keeping them informed of development.
• Ensure health, safety and safeguarding compliance across the centre.

Role Responsibilities

• Ensure that educational strategies and practices are consistent across multiple rooms.
• Lead the planning and delivery of activities, adapting the curriculum to meet the diverse needs of the children.
• Mentor and develop Room Leaders, promoting a collaborative and high-performing team.
• Oversee the wellbeing and safeguarding of children, making necessary adaptations to support children with additional needs.
• Foster strong relationships with parents, keeping them informed of their child's development.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and safeguarding protocols across the centre.

Ideal Candidate

• Level 3 qualification or above in early years education.
• Experience in an early years setting, with supervisory or leadership experience ideally as a Senior Nursery Room Leader, Senior Nursery Room Manager or Senior Nursery Practitioner.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
• Ability to foster an inclusive and supportive environment for both children and team members.
