Job summary

Busy Bees Quedgeley in Gloucester is recruiting a Senior Nursery Room Leader to oversee multiple rooms and ensure the Bee Curious curriculum is delivered consistently across the centre.

You will mentor Room Leaders, lead planning and activities, safeguard children and build strong relationships with parents, while promoting high standards of care and learning within a supportive Busy Bees environment.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification or above in early years education.
• Experience in an early years setting with supervisory or leadership experience.
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to foster inclusive environment for children and staff.

Responsibilities

• Ensure educational strategies are consistent across multiple rooms.
• Lead planning and delivery of activities; adapt the curriculum.
• Mentor and develop Room Leaders; promote collaboration.

Role Responsibilities

What to Expect as a Senior Nursery Room Leader:

• Ensure that educational strategies and practices are consistent across multiple rooms.
• Lead the planning and delivery of activities, adapting the curriculum to meet the diverse needs of the children.
• Mentor and develop Room Leaders, promoting a collaborative and high-performing team.
• Oversee the wellbeing and safeguarding of children, making necessary adaptations to support children with additional needs.
• Foster strong relationships with parents, keeping them informed of their child's development.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and safeguarding protocols across the centre.

Required Qualifications

Ideal Candidate:

• Level 3 qualification or above in early years education.
• Experience in an early years setting, with supervisory or leadership experience ideally as a Senior Nursery Room Leader, Senior Nursery Room Manager or Senior Nursery Practitioner.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
• Ability to foster an inclusive and supportive environment for both children and team members.
