Job summary

Busy Bees Gloucester is seeking a Senior Nursery Room Leader to oversee multiple rooms, drive the Bee Curious curriculum and inspire a high-performing team.

You will champion safeguarding, build strong relationships with families, and ensure consistent learning experiences across the centre.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification or higher in Early Years education.
• Experience in an early years setting with supervisory/leadership responsibilities.
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to foster an inclusive environment for children and staff.

Responsibilities

• Ensure educational strategies are consistent across multiple rooms.
• Lead planning and delivery of activities, adapting the curriculum to meet diverse needs.
• Mentor and develop Room Leaders, promoting a collaborative and high-performing team.
• Oversee wellbeing and safeguarding of children, making adaptations for additional needs.
• Foster strong relationships with parents, keeping them informed of development.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and safeguarding protocols across the centre.

What To Expect As a Senior Nursery Room Leader

Ideal Candidate

• Level 3 qualification or above in early years education.
• Experience in an early years setting, with supervisory or leadership experience ideally as a Senior Nursery Room Leader, Senior Nursery Room Manager or Senior Nursery Practitioner.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
• Ability to foster an inclusive and supportive environment for both children and team members.
