Senior Nursery Practitioner - Woodley

We are currently seeking a Level 3 Qualified Nursery Nurse for a full-time position at our 60-place nursery in Woodley. The nursery operates 51 weeks a year, from 07:30 to 18:00, and offers a 40-hour workweek.

The ideal candidate will hold a minimum of a Level 3 qualification. While 12 months of experience is preferred, it is not essential as full training will be provided.

We are looking for someone passionate and motivated to make a positive impact on children's lives and contribute to our team. The candidate should be capable of organizing routines, engaging children in educational and creative activities, and applying the EYFS framework through effective planning. Building strong relationships with children and their families, and working collaboratively within a fun, driven, and committed team, are essential qualities.

Nursery Practitioner Duties include but are not limited to:

1. Reviewing planning sheets and maintaining records for all staff in your room
2. Ensuring routines are followed and run smoothly
3. Implementing new decisions consistently within the room
4. Adhering to all policies and procedures
5. Acting as an excellent role model to colleagues

Nursery Practitioner Requirements:

1. Experience in providing play and learning opportunities for children
2. Strong interpersonal skills, organized and efficient
3. Ability to mentor and coach trainees
4. Experience as a Key-worker and in observing children
5. Knowledge of the Children’s Act
6. Experience working with toddlers or preschool children
7. Good communication skills with children and parents
8. Ability to interact well with children and use initiative
9. Knowledge of Ofsted requirements and the EYFS
