Senior Nursery Practitioner

Gloucester FWC | Childcare | Permanent | Full time

Up to £28,643.63 per annum, depending on experience

40 hours per week

Our Nuffy Bear Day Nursery is seeking a Senior Early years Educator/Senior Nursery Nurse to be based at our nursery located in our Nuffield Health gym.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of the brilliant nurseries inside the UK’s largest Healthcare Charity. We’re looking for the right person to join us here and help ensure the best mix of high-quality care, learning and play.

As a Senior Early Years Educator it’s important that you’re qualified to NVQ Level 3 in childcare studies (or equivalent) and you have experience of working in a nursery setting.

As a Senior Practitioner, you will:

• Lead a small team, ensuring the highest standards are maintained
• Help deliver full day care, sessional care and pre-school for ages 3 months to 5 years
• Promote health and wellbeing, helping children achieve the best possible start in life
• Ensure that learning is linked to every child’s development
• Maintain great communication with parents, carers and external professionals
• Be aware of and implement current legislation, know and implement safeguarding policies and procedures

The Person

To succeed as a Senior Nursery Practitioner, you will need:

• Will be qualified to a NVQ Level 3 in childcare studies or equivalent
• Have experience in a Nursery setting, and have work with children
• Preferred paediatric first aid qualifications
• All candidate will require an enhanced DBS
