Qualifications

• A full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare is required.
• Previous experience in a nursery leadership role is necessary.
• Excellent knowledge of the EYFS statutory framework and safeguarding requirements.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills are essential.
• Confidence in supporting, mentoring and motivating a nursery team.

Responsibilities

• Support the Nursery Manager with the day-to-day running and management of the nursery.
• Lead, motivate and mentor a team of early years practitioners.
• Ensure the nursery delivers high-quality childcare and education in line with EYFS.
• Maintain safeguarding, child protection, health and safety standards.
• Assist with staff recruitment, induction, supervision and professional development.
• Take responsibility for the nursery in the Manager’s absence when required.
