Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Lead Planner to oversee development, integration, and assurance of project schedules across complex programmes. You will set planning standards, manage baselines, and coordinate with cost, risk, and reporting teams to ensure robust delivery governance.

The role requires strong analytical capability, stakeholder engagement, and experience in regulated sectors. You will lead workshops, mentor planners, and contribute to continuous improvement within the planning function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in planning, project controls, engineering, construction, or related discipline.
• Hold or be working towards a relevant professional qualification such as APM, ACostE, PMI, CIOB, RICS, or equivalent.
• Demonstrable experience leading development and assurance of project schedules in complex delivery environments.
• Strong knowledge of planning tools (P6, Asta Powerproject, MS Project) and interpreting schedules across multiple disciplines.
• Experience applying planning governance, baseline management, change control, progress measurement, schedule quality analysis, and reporting processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, integration, and assurance of project schedules that are robust and auditable.
• Establish planning standards and controls to support consistent delivery and assurance readiness.
• Own schedule baseline management, progress updates, and change impact assessments.
• Drive integration between planning, cost, risk, change, and reporting functions.
• Provide schedule assurance and challenge across programmes and stakeholders.
• Lead planning inputs to governance forums, baselines, readiness reviews, and performance reporting.
