Job summary

Cavendish Nuclear is seeking a Senior Control and Instrumentation Engineer to lead design, integration and delivery of high‑integrity systems for critical nuclear and regulated projects. The role offers hybrid working with Grimsby or Hessle offices, 37 hours per week, and opportunities across national infrastructure.

You’ll collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams, ensure compliance with safety standards and deliver reliable operational performance, with travel to client sites as required.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and delivering control/instrumentation systems in highly regulated industries.
• Strong knowledge of functional and nuclear safety requirements and IEC 61508/61511.

Responsibilities

• Design and integrate control/instrumentation systems for nuclear projects.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory expectations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop technical solutions.
• Support testing, verification, commissioning and handover activities.
• Engage with clients, regulators, suppliers and stakeholders to meet requirements.
