Job summary
Frontier Resourcing partners with a leading engineering and manufacturing organisation to recruit an experienced NPI Engineering Manager. You will industrialise new products from concept to production, meeting quality, cost and delivery targets in a highly regulated environment.
You will lead cross-functional teams, manage stage-gate processes, champion DfM/DFT/DFC, drive MRL assessments and readiness reviews, conduct PFMEA/RCCA, and collaborate with procurement to secure components for
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
- 2–3+ years of leadership/managerial experience in manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of electronics manufacturing (PCBA, SMT, CCA, microelectronics).
- Experience with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP (SAP, Oracle) and PLM software.
- Knowledge of PFMEA, RCCA, ATE, and quality tools.
- Ability to read engineering drawings, GD&T, BOMs, and process docs.
- Experience with advanced manufacturing processes (CNC, automation, welding, etc.).
- Awareness of PRINCE2/PMP and planning tools (MS Project, Smartsheet).
- Familiarity with AS9100/AS9145, J-STD-001 and related standards.
- Eligibility to obtain UK SC clearance.
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional team from RFQ/concept to full production handover.
- Manage stage-gate processes per AS9145/APQP.
- Champion DfM, DfT, and DfC principles.
- Drive MRL assessments and Production Readiness Reviews.
- Conduct PFMEA, RCCA and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Procurement and suppliers for component availability.
- Develop manufacturing plans, tooling, work instructions and processes.
- Set baselines for cost, schedule, quality and scope; report to senior stakeholders.
- Chair NPI Gate Reviews, Design Reviews and Production Readiness Reviews.
- Coordinate activities across Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Operations and PMO.
