Job summary

Hackajob Ltd is seeking an experienced NPI Engineering Manager in the UK to bridge R&D and manufacturing for advanced electronic products. You will lead cross-functional teams through design to production handover, ensuring quality, cost control and timely launches.

The role requires strong project management in a regulated aerospace/defence setting, with SLAs, stage gates, and risk-mitigation discipline. Hybrid/onsite UK-based role with clear career growth and security clearance considerations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Manufacturing Engineering (as stated).
• Significant manufacturing leadership experience in a regulated environment (Aerospace/Defence/Space).
• Experience with AS9100/9102 and related processes.

Responsibilities

• Direct cross-functional teams of manufacturing and process engineers to design and industrialise new electronic products from concept to full production handover.
• Lead products through stage-gate processes (AS9145, APQP) from bid to production release.
• Champion Design for Manufacturability (DfM), Testability (DfT), and Cost (DfC) focus to ensure robust, cost-effective designs.
• Identify and mitigate production risks via MRL, FMEA, RCCA and root-cause analysis.
