Job summary

QinetiQ Limited is seeking a Senior Noise and Vibration Engineer for its Rosyth site. The role supports UK submarine capability with independent technical assurance, consulting on acoustic stealth, noise and vibration performance.

You will review submarine systems, assess changes, identify risks and advise defence stakeholders to ensure operational and stealth requirements are met. The position is 37 hours per week, with travel to customer sites in Bristol and a mix of site attendance, in a role

Qualifications

• Experience in defence, maritime, naval, aerospace or nuclear sectors.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and systems engineering principles.
• Experience reviewing or validating engineering designs and proposals.
• Ability to analyse complex information and communicate findings clearly.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and consultancy skills.

Responsibilities

• Review submarine system designs and engineering proposals.
• Provide independent technical assurance and specialist advice to defence customers.
• Identify acoustic, vibration and integration risks and propose mitigations.
• Produce technical reports and evidence-based recommendations.
• Support delivery of complex submarine and maritime programmes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
