Job summary

RedTech Recruitment is seeking a Machine Learning Research Engineer to research and implement new NLP/LLM approaches for a leading machine-learning software company in Cambridge. This role suits candidates with a Ph.D. in CS, Physics, Maths or related fields and a strong NLP/ML background.

You will join a team focused on cutting-edge research, prototyping innovative concepts, and evaluating output quality. The position is hybrid (3 days in the office, 2 days remote) with a GBP 48,000–72,000

Qualifications

• PhD in CS, Physics, Maths or related field with NLP relevance.
• Strong ML/NLP background with publications or demonstrable research impact.
• Experience with ML frameworks: PyTorch, TensorFlow and Scikit-Learn.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and prototype new NLP/ML concepts for AI problems.
• Build and evaluate novel ML/NLP approaches and document findings.
• Collaborate with engineers to translate research into products.
• Assess output quality, efficiency and feasibility against alternatives.
