Job summary

RedTech Recruitment seeks a Machine Learning Research Engineer specializing in NLP/LLMs to explore new concepts, prototype approaches, and assess feasibility for industry-leading software solutions. Cambridge based with a 3 days in-office, 2 days remote arrangement.

The ideal candidate holds a Ph.D. in a relevant field, with strong NLP/ML expertise, publications, and experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow and Scikit-Learn, plus data science work on large datasets.

Qualifications

• PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics or related field, NLP focus preferred.
• Strong theoretical and practical ML/NLP background with publications.
• Experience with ML frameworks and large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and prototype new NLP/LLM approaches.
• Evaluate research outputs for feasibility and impact on products.
• Collaborate with teams to shape future AI solutions.
• Publish findings and contribute to internal knowledge base.
