Job summary

RedTech Recruitment Ltd. in Cambridge seeks a senior Machine Learning Research Engineer to explore novel NLP/LLM approaches, prototype concepts and push state-of-the-art in a fast-moving software environment.

The successful candidate will hold a PhD related to NLP, work on cutting-edge research projects, and collaborate across product teams. Hybrid role with 3 days in office and remote work, offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• PhD from world-leading university in CS/Physics/Math or NLP-related field.
• Strong focus on classic ML rather than AI engineering.
• Strong knowledge of LLMs, NLP, ML/AI.
• Excellent academics with a minimum 2.1 degree and strong A-Levels.
• Published papers.
• Good understanding of software engineering concepts.
• Experience with ML Python frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-Learn).
• Data Science experience with large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Join a team researching the latest ML algorithms in NLP (and some computer vision).
• Suggest feasibility of research to shape future projects and products.
• Prototype research concepts.
• Determine output quality, efficiency, and feasibility compared with other techniques.
