Job summary

RedTech Recruitment is seeking a Machine Learning Research Engineer specializing in NLP/LLM for a Cambridge-based role. You will explore and prototype advanced AI concepts, evaluating new approaches to NLP and related ML problems.

The role demands a Ph.D. with strong NLP/ML background, publications, and hands-on experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, and large datasets. 3 days in office, 2 days remote, with a competitive GBP salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• PhD from a world-leading university in CS/Physics/Math or related to NLP
• Experience weighted towards classic machine learning over AI engineering
• Strong knowledge in NLP/LLM and ML/AI principles
• Publications in relevant fields
• Experience with ML Python frameworks and large datasets

Responsibilities

• Investigate and prototype latest ML algorithms, mainly in NLP and some computer vision
• Propose research directions based on feasibility and impact
• Prototype research concepts and evaluate outputs against other techniques
• Collaborate with team to shape future projects and products
