Job summary

Colten Care's Amberwood House in Ferndown, Dorset, is seeking senior nurses to join our clinical team and contribute to senior decision-making. This 36-hour-per-week role includes alternate weekends, paid breaks, and training opportunities.

You will lead shifts, coordinate care with the multi-disciplinary team, support residents' health and wellbeing, and develop practice with revalidation and supervisor roles. We value experienced, compassionate nurses who can mentor others.

Qualifications

• Nurse with current registration and senior care experience.
• Strong clinical knowledge and decision-making abilities.

Youll work with fellow Nurses and Senior Care Leads, as well as the local multi-disciplinary teams, with 24/7 on-call support available to you from other Colten Care Clinical/ Quality experts. Youll be responsible for leading the shift and the allocation of duties to other nurses and the care team. Youll build lasting relationships with our residents and make a meaningful difference to their health and wellbeing every day.

About you

Youll have excellent clinical knowledge and sound judgement, with great communications skills, able to lead with a can-do attitude. Youll be a team player, with attention to detail and a sense of fun. Using your clinical know-how, you can either continue as or become a practice assessor/ supervisor, supporting our student nurses and Trainee Nurse Associates.

Youll have experience role modelling and promoting best practice in wound management, nutrition, tissue viability, end-of-life care, and other essential clinical interventions.
